On the 23d, 24th and 25th of September ‘de Waag society’ and Kennisnet organises a seminar.
 Rapucation is invited by ‘de Waag Society’ to have a lecture at the seminar.

For the project "First ID" there was a written project plan. The start of the full project of eight weeks will be executed at the Clusius College Amsterdam. The start of the project will be after the fall vacation.

In the Music Room of the Pieter Nieuwland College there are Apple laptops in use for the project.

Inspired by the physics website of Walter Fendt, Rapucation made a video. We chose interference as a subject. The bilangual aspect of Rapucation we prove by immediately having the video come out in five different languages. With the instrumental version of the video we only use surrounding sounds.

Rapucation is working on a method

The three most important aspects of the method are
1) Learning to make Music and write lyrics. A few instruction videos can be seen about this subject now: Gestures/ – Cards/ – Cards two through five/ – Cards two through five which/ -
All videos are non-verbal. The communication goes via gestures  
2) Learning with the help of videos: Watch and learn
3) How do you produce a video together Do and learn

At the Cygnus Gymnasium seven teams make videos. Five video scan now be seen: Devil – Seasons – Chocolate – Laughing – movies. With this second pilot the groups had access to a file on this site. Tom Bachmann gave a lesson about copyright with this pilot and Michel Couzijn accompanied ‘investigative learning’

A new project of Rapucation: First ID
On VMBO schools we ask students to perform with their identity/origin as a subject.
Rapucation visits  VMBO schools to see how this new Group of students responds to our ideas. The launch of the project took place during a party of Rapucation. has made propositions to improve the organisation of Rapucation. Once those propositions are realized, a project plan can be written.

Rapucation presents itself at the conference "European day of the languages 2008". This conference takes place in Ede and is organised by the European Platform. At this conference Rapucation gives two workshops about the use of the website of Rapucation. See . During the workshop the participants work on translating the video ‘borderlines’. This video is about the history of the Netherlands. At the end of the day Rapucation presents the video bilingualism, which was made in cooperation with the conservatory of Alkmaar.  The movie was made as an assignment for the European Platform.

At the Cygnus Gymnasium in Amsterdam fifty teams are starting with making videos. Four teams round up their project with a video:

The First film was placed on the Rapucation site.

Starting the Rapucation Foundation. Rapucation chose a foundation as an organisation form because of the advice of the foundation of Intercultural activities SICA.

In the Dutch newspaper “Trouw” of October 2007 there’s an article placed by Johan ’t Hart about the use of language. The article mentions the video ‘word gekurd’. As a follow up to this article the broadcasting company NCRV makes an episode of ‘The third will’, broadcast Oktober 21^st on NCRV, channel two. 

Beginning of  2007

The name Rapucation was thought up by Rapper Peter van der Bosch. Immediately after thinking of the name we thought of it as a European project. After that we filed for subsidy at the European Union.

2000

The principal behind Rapucation started by Johan ’t Hart (Music teacher) and Peter van der Bosch (rapper) working together. Together they teach music on the Pieter Nieuwland College and the Cygnus Gymnasium in Amsterdam. They have much experience with cross-curricular projects and making presentations.
