Who participate in Rapucation?

During the Rapucation project groups make videos. With the making of these videos the students seek help from their friends, parents, family and teachers. Thus there is a natural location of embedding the teaching material in the world of the student.   

What is Rapucation? 
- Rapucation is a non-profit organisation. 
- Rapucation is a foundation that has been initiated in the Netherlands 
- Rapucation focuses on education throughout Europe. 
-Rapucation is the developing and executing of educational projects by teachers and students together. It’s about being involved in the educational system. It’s learning by creating/making video clips.  
- Rapucation is about learning with the aid of video clips. Subtitles that accompany each Rapucation film provide information which further clarifies the subject of the video. Every Rapucation video is created in different steps. With every step a group adds something new to the video 
- Rapucation wants to be a blueprint for a society where there’s room for everyone. Very important in our project is also the use of language. No curse words and such!

The main goal of rapucation: Bringing rap back to its original ideals. Our main person for this is Peter van den Bosch, also called Tony Scott or ‘the chief’. He never participated in any rap with curse words, which is very common these days.   

What technical possibilities does Rapucation offer?

- A group that makes a video clip gets a separate file on the website after subscribing. With a password the group can save research results in their file on the website. With the same password a group gets the possibility to work via an external server on their audio file  
- Rapucation develops software for educational projects in Europe. An example of this you can find in the musicmethod "One Beat".

How does rapucation start to exist?

Multiple disciplines can collaborate in a Rapucation project.  Rapucation is a playful way to discover skills such as collaboration, roles within a group, research and reflection, cognitive style and talent in general. Rapucation serves all subjects and is therefore an interdisciplinary project.    

Where does Rapucation come from?

Rapucation is a combination of the words rap and education. Aside from Rap, Rapucation also makes videos with singing and spoken words. There are no curse words used in Rapucation videos.

Why is Rapucation an European project?

By not using lipsync images a video can be easily translated. Students in any European country can watch videos in their own language. 
To ensure that cooperation between different groups and different countries goes well, there are demands and criteria that every single rapucation video has to fit. Before a video is placed on our website, a moderator judges the video. The moderator works on the school of the group that has send a video. 

Rapucation wants to improve the atmosphere in schools.School results improve in a safe environment. Rapuction makes it possible for schools throughout Europe to collaborate.
